Merry Christmas Hanni! We’re off to see the little grandunits trash some wrapping paper this morning. We get to squeal and wohoo just like they do. Funny how things begin to circle around as one gets older and lets go of old fears and tensions one at a time. We get to make noise and help raise the frenzy to a newer, higher level than the young rents ever dreamed possible. It is easier being a grandparent than a parent. We get to encourage them to be who they already are instead of teaching them how we want them to behave. Love who you are too and can’t wait to see you again for the first time.
