She made a circle with the thumb and forefinger of one hand and began poking that circle with her other index finger. People at other tables (all good Southern families of course) were staring on horrified as my dad and I laughed so hard we slid off the benches. And poor mom kept up with the hand gestures going "What?" for another 60 seconds before she finally realized what she was doing...Good times.
