Tickling my Giggle Bone
November 2nd, 2005Some have their smoke breaks, while others rely on Wheel of Death,(also known as the vending machine), to provide some sweet solace from the stresses of work. I personally like to put on concerts for my cubicle mates, wherein I crank up my iPod real loud and then sing along with Bright Eyes, Fall Out Boy, MCR, or Death Cab For Cutie.
I don’t mind so much the disgruntled looks and murmurings. Many times I have heard my coworkers cry out to the god of office etiquette, “How have I displeased you? What have I done to deserve this warbley-voiced hell?!”
But you know what? I don’t sweat it. I’m a rock star, even if the dudes who share a partition with me don’t know it.
But yes, anyways, the winner of the makes-the-workplace-fun award would have to go to Ed. Every day around four o’clock the clickety clack of fingers on keyboards is interrupted by, first, the small snickering, and then the eventual full-on, irrepressible howling of Ed. He’s laughs like a lunatic, because every day at four he watches this video:
Triumph The Insult Comic Dog Meets Star Wars Nerds.
Enjoy! (PS. I hope you’re sitting in a plastic chair b/c you’ll probably wet yourself.)

Dima - YESSSS!
Smug Elle -
You got a future nerd in there?
Yeah he’s due in four weeks.
Wow, that’s the last time he’ll see female genitilia.

I always put my iPod on and sing at work. Everyone has known I am crazy for some time, so they just accept it.

That was so funny I cried!

My favorite Triumph stuff is still when he is at the Westminster Dog Show. That and his Hollywood Squares appearance are classics. We own all of his stuff on DVD. We used to watch his Westminster stuff every day back in the computer room at Siemens. It’s the best. He mocked William Shatner one time on Conan too and it was awesome.

This is truly awesome. My favorite triumph skit is when he is in Canada…I cry everytime. If Crazy Ed is looking for some new material, he should google the Dave Chappelle skit Black Bush (in which we see what life might be like if GW had an afro).

That was hilarious! Thanks!
i loved the line about jedis having to eat a lot of peanut m&m’s.
(I had just stolen a bag of peanut m&ms from my kid’s halloween candy, shhh, don’t tell)
Rock on,
the idiot

Erin - Ha. I dare say I have the same thing going. My coworkers think i’m 3/4 cuckoo, and they’re right.
Whfopera - Awww, I didn’t mean to make you cry!
ScottyGee - You know, I’ve never seen the Hollywood squares one? I will look it up on Google Video (my obsession) and report back. I think you also need to review Triumph Meets Bon Jovi, being that you didn’t mention it in your comment, and it is, in my view, second only to Triumph Meets Star Wars Nerds.
Stampydurst - Okay, so I’ve never seen the Canadia one either. I know what I’ll be doing online all weekend… And yeah, I’ll def point Crazy Ed to Black Bush (that just sounds bad, doesn’t it?)
Village Idiot - So, being that you stole the m & m’s from junior… are you trying to tell us you’re a jedi?

Triumph at Bon Jovi is good too. You SUCK! You SUCK! “Finally a role that required you to suck!” Did Richie feather his pubes?
Go back in the butt from whence you came,
You give poop a bad name!
You forget, I own the DVD!
